Doing the Right Thing
I don't often get terribly political on this soap box of (ahem) ours. And generally when I do it's to have a whinge. Not this time. This time I'm reporting some very good news, albeit a few days late. Reed Elsevier, the parent company of LexisNexis, one of the largest legal publishers, has been involved in arms fairs for a number of years, to the increasing chagrin of its customer base. It has finally withdrawn. About bloody time.

Just in case there's confusion, it should be made clear that LexisNexis itself had nothing to do the organisation of arms fairs. And its employees welcomed the announcement on Friday.
